Organic crops and livestock/poultry must be grown with no synthetic herbicides, pesticides, growth hormones, antibiotics, etc. for 36 months prior to the harvest of the first organic crop. There are strict manure and compost guidelines as well. Sewage sludge, urea, manure or animal by-products administered to the animal are prohibited, and organic farmers may not use genetically modified seed. This is a training and treatment facility for emergency personnel working on critical incidents.
